Microsoft is kicking off the new year with its first Free Play Days in 2020. This weekend, the company is offering DiRT Rally 2.0 to Xbox One owners subscribed to Xbox Live Gold, or those that get Gold benefits though Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
DiRT Rally 2.0 was released not even a year ago, so the free trial period this weekend could give many gamers the opportunity to try something somewhat new. The game features more than 50 cars that can be raced in six real life rally locations—the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, and Poland—all with realistic driving physics.
If you decide you’d like to own the game after the trial period which ends on Sunday, it’s also receiving a steep discount for a limited time. Those in the U.S. can get it for up to 70% off, for instance, which brings the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition to $18 and $24, respectively.
Those with Game Pass can also continue playing past the trial period this weekend, as the title joined the subscription’s free games catalog in September for both console and for those on PC, as well.
If you’re new to Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass, it might be worth noting that Game Pass Ultimate, the subscription that combines both for consoles and PC, is on sale for three months for $1 for new members. It’s definitely worth it if you’re into free games each month.
