Microsoft’s E3 FanFest competition which had begun earlier this week has been cancelled due to a system error that began awarding prizes to too many entrants at once. The competition will restart as soon as the error has been fixed and all those who entered the first time will have to do so again.
“Fan enthusiasm overwhelmed our Xbox FanFest: E3 2017 registration website today, and unfortunately resulted in an error – causing the system to accept more registrants than we had tickets for the event in total,” Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb explained. “We determined voiding this morning’s registrations and starting over would help make things as fair as possible for all fans. So, if you were one of the fans who successfully registered this morning, you’ll need to re-register, and Xbox is emailing something special to you for the inconvenience.”
Up to 500 tickets for the E3 Xbox FanFest are up for grabs in this competition in addition to a variety of Xbox-related prizes. Are you going to enter? Let us know in the comments below.
