Xbox Insiders on the Alpha ring will be happy to find out that Microsoft added yet another simple way to customize their friends list. Today, Larry Hryb (a.k.a. Major Nelson) tweeted that as of today, users will be able to sort their friends by game titles.
Starting today for Xbox Insiders: Friends grouped by game in Guide and Home. Keep the feedback coming. pic.twitter.com/pmKiHM3yXx

Xbox Live friends that are currently in games will be visible via the People tab under ‘Friends in games’. Selecting this will open up all of your online friends and which games they are playing.
If Hryb’s comment is any indication, then this looks to be a result of feedback from Insiders. This is just one of many features planned for the upcoming months as we make way to the big Xbox One fall update.
