2 ways to fix Google Drive Uploading Multiple Copies issue

Google Drive is a popular cloud storage client for Windows users. It allows you to sync all the files from your PC with your Google Drive account without having to upload them manually. However, some users have reported that they are seeing multiple copies of the same file with a different name in their Google Drive account.

This issue is mostly caused by a glitch in the Google Drive app that reuploads already existing files and renames them. If you are also troubled by this issue, here are a couple of troubleshooting tips to resolve it.

1. Disconnect Google Drive Account and Reconnect

  1. Right-click on the Backup and Sync from Google icon in the taskbar.
