If there’s anything that could be added to a list of “Things I never knew I wanted,” having Windows running on my Nintendo 3DS is definitely it. While Windows 10 certainly hasn’t been cracked open and made fully-functional on Nintendo’s gaming handheld, YouTube user shutterbug20001 has given us video proof that they were able to put an old classic of Windows history up on the 3DS – Windows 95.

It’s definitely not a perfect port by any means. Even the video which was meant to serve as proof doesn’t make any effort to hide the fact that the conversion isn’t much more than a novelty at this point, almost immediately running into an error after it’s loaded up. Even so, seeing that there are people who are willing to put effort into getting Windows to run on unorthodox devices like this is, at the very least, a pretty good laugh. It wouldn’t be too surprising to see this become something a lot more usable in the future, however, and if that happens, it’s going to be a pretty interesting day for tech enthusiasts.
