1. Clear the app caches
For Android:
- Go to Settings – Applications – Manage applications.
- From the list select HBO NOW.

For iPhone and iPad
- Tap on the Menu button
- Go to the settings page and tap Clear temporary files
2. Factory reset your device
All the data from your phone can be removed by resetting it to factory settings. This is also called formatting or a hard reset.
- Open the Settings app.
- Find Backup & reset.
- Tap Factory data reset and Reset phone.
Note: If you can’t open your phone‘s Settings app, you can try factory resetting your phone using its power and volume buttons.
3. Update your software
- To update your HBO NOW, open the Play Store on your Android device and search for HBO NOW to see if an app update is available.
- Also, make sure your Android software is up to date. Go to Settings – Systems – Advanced – System Update.
4. Clear cache and data
- Open your Android and go to Settings – Apps & notifications
- Search HBO NOW in the list of apps
- Tap storage – clear storage
- Finally, tap clear cache
- You can now reopen HBO NOW and sign in again
5. Reinstall HBO NOW
- Go to Settings > Apps & notifications
- Search and tap HBO NOW in the list of apps.
- Tap Uninstall.
- Open the Play Store and reinstall HBO NOW.
6. Check if not HBO NOW is actually down
