On January 21st, Microsoft held a Windows 10 event for select media members, showcasing the company’s progress with Cortana, the new Spartan browser, and much more. During the event, Microsoft revealed thatĀ over 1.7 million Windows Insiders who are helping providing over 800,000 bits of feedback. Microsoft also revealed just one day laterĀ that the Windows Insider Program had earned 173,624 new members.
If you are one of those 173,624 new members (we’re sure that number has increased by now), what do you do after downloading and installing Windows 10 build 9926? Provide feedback, of course. Just remember that this is Beta software. As long as you do not mind testing software that is in active development, and you do not mind lots of updates and an incomplete UI/UX design, you should have a good time. Remember to create a backup of your system before installing Windows 10 build 9926.
Here’s how and where you can provide feedback:
- Windows Feedback app — Simply open up this app and send your thoughts straight to Microsoft. Don’t be shy. Microsoft wants to hear it all. Be descriptive in what you tell them. To launch the app, simply hit the search button on the taskbar and type “Windows Feedback.” You can select a category on the left hand side and enter your feedback within the app.
- Windows 10 Tech Preview forum — Microsoft has a dedicated forum where you can provide feedback about the company’s operating system. You can also see what others are saying and you can provide assistance to them too.
- Insider Hub — Windows 10 comes with an app called “Insider Hub” which provides you with all the latest news directly from Microsoft. You can see known issues, read all about changes made to the operating system based on user feedback, and much more.
- Windows UserVoice — Last but not least, you can head over to the official Windows UserVoice page to leave your feedback.
If you think your feedback doesn’t matter, you are wrong. Microsoft listens, so send in your thoughts and suggestions.Ā What else can you do? You can follow WinBeta for the latest Windows 10 news and tutorials. We also recommend bookmarking our dedicated Windows 10 page.
