Xbox Elite Wireless paddles

If you’re having trouble with your Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 paddles right now, don’t worry, Xbox has acknowledged the issue, and it’s working on a permanent fix, according to the latest update patch to the Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring.

But until Xbox releases the permanent solution, you can go ahead and try a more temporary workaround, provided by the company.

  1. Create a new profile in the Xbox Accessories app keeping the paddles unmapped.
  2. Assign the paddles to the new profile.

You can also try to detach the paddles when not using them if this is easier for you.

Either way, now that Xbox has acknowledged the issue, the company will release a permanent solution for it over the next weeks, most probably with the weekly update patches to the Xbox Insider Program channels.

This is not the only hardware issue currently impacting the Xbox consoles. Some users have also been troubled with an issue impacting 3.5mm joysticks used with the Xbox Adaptive Controller, which renders them unusable, but Xbox is also working on it, as well.

If you can’t currently access Xbox Live from your Xbob 360 account, you’re not the only one. The issue has been impacting all channels, and Xbox is aware of the bug. Many Xbox users reported on Reddit that they cannot access the service anymore.

The error still lets Xbox 360 players access games on Xbox Live, but any progress made cannot be saved. However, Xbox is already working on fixing the problem.
