Juniper Network Still not Compatible with Windows 8.1, 10
For many users, Juniper still doesn’t work after the upgrade to Windows 8.1, so you are advised to stick with Windows 8 until support for Windows 8.1 gets released
Juniper Networks provides networking equipment in the form of high-performance Internet Protocol network products and services for thousands of business consumers. Its most known routers are the T-series, M-series, E-series, MX-series, EX-series Ethernet switches and SRX-series security products. ButJuniper Network’s SSL VPN platforms and UAC platforms also run Windows 8.
However, Microsoft has recently made available the Windows 8.1 update and many Juniper customers have probably made the switch. What they don’t know yet is that the company doesn’t have yet official support for Windows 8.1, so as a result, Juniper doesn’t work after the upgrade for many users.
On Microsoft’s compatibility center, Juniper Network Connect 7.1 is flagged as not compatible and here are some of the most common problems users are getting in Windows 8.1:
- Juniper VPN Network connect fails with Error code: nc.windows.app.23712
- Juniper VPN Client will not connect in Windows 8.1
Therefore, until official support doesn’t arrive for Windows 8.1, you are strongly advised not to upgrade to Windows 8.1 to avoid such situations.
What to do if Juniper does not work on Windows 8/8.1/10 devices?
As we know, the most common problems with Juniper are related to Juniper VPN service. In case you cannot make it work on your Windows device, we strongly recommend you to switch to other VPN service from this list.
We strongly recommend you to start with one of the best VPN services on the market: Cyberghost VPN. It will keep safe your network and your IP address at all cost and it also has great price plans.
Another great service, preferred by US users which offers a connection secured by over 4000 servers around the world is NordVPN. You can get it at a great price and enjoy its features and a good client support.
Though these services are not free (as all premium security services), they will replace Juniper if it doesn’t work on your PC and will allow you to access some premium features.
