KB5043145

Microsoft has announced the rollout of Windows 11 Builds 22621.4247 and 22631.4247 to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel under KB5043145. The update will be available to users on Windows 11, version 22H2 (Build 22621) and version 23H2 (Build 22631).

The “Sign out” option is now on the account manager when you open the Start menu. A new feature allows users to share local files directly from the search results in the taskbar search box.

The Delivery Optimization Settings page now matches the Windows 11 design. The search box has been removed from the Windows Share window, and media controls now show in the lower part of the lock screen at its centre when media is playing.

It’s also worth mentioning that with KB5043145, Microsoft Edge sometimes stops responding when using IE mode, and there is inconsistent data between TCP_INFO_v1 and GetPerTcpConnectionEstats. This could affect the accuracy of file synchronization services that use TCP connection performance analysis tools.

This update brings COSA profiles up to date for certain mobile operators. It also fixes an issue that prompts for your PIN each time you open an encrypted email in Outlook and other encrypted email apps.

Work Folders files fail to sync when Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is on, and Microsoft Edge sometimes stops responding when using IE mode.

Microsoft also released KB5043178 to the Release Preview Channel, which brings considerable improvements to the battery life of Windows 11 devices.

KB5043145 is now available to insiders on the release preview channel, and you can read its changelog here.
