We’re all impatiently waiting for the latest generation of Intel’s CPU, and recently we got some unpleasant news.
It seems that upcoming CPUs will be more expensive than previously expected.
Micro Center just revealed potential prices for the upcoming Intel CPUs
Tom’s Hardware reported that Micro Center has revealed its potential prices for the upcoming Intel CPUs according to the removed listing.
The new Core i9-14900KS is expected to cost $749, which is slightly more than previously expected. This price is somewhat expected and similar to the price in Canada.
As for the specs, the removed listing stated that this CPU will have 8 cores and a 3.2GHz base clock that can be boosted up to 6.2GHz.
Additional specs include 16 E-cores 32MB of L2 cache, 36MB of L3 cache, and support for DDR4-3200 and DDR5-5600.
We have to mention that this model is $200 more expensive compared to its predecessor, Core i9-14900K, so you might be better off sticking with the older model.
Keep in mind that this information might be only for Micro Center, and the actual price might differ depending on the retailer. As for the announcement date, rumors have it that we’ll see it on March 14th.
That’s not all from Intel, and recently Intel’s new chips were listed as officially compatible with Windows 11, so you can rest assured that your new CPU will work without any issues.
