msi claw update

The handheld market is exploding, and we now have several major manufacturers developing handheld gaming devices.

Speaking of which, MSI Claw has received new firmware, so let’s see what this update brings.

MSI Claw just got a new firmware and driver updates

It’s no secret that a firmware update can boost the performance of a handheld, and this is what happened after the ASUS ROG Ally update.

MSI has been busy as well, and it has released a firmware and GPU driver update for its MSI Claw as TweakTown writes.

The company claims that these updates bring smooth gameplay across the 100 most popular titles on Steam.

According to tests by MSI, we can see improved framerate across the board, with 7 Days to Die getting up to 150% more frames.

On the other hand, Cyberpunk 2077 got a 58% framerate improvement while GTA V got 40%.

The tests were performed with the following settings:

  • Performance Mode at 1080p
  • Low graphics quality
  • XeSS upscaling set to Performance
  • V-Sync disabled
  • FPS limitation disabled

The new firmware brings a lot of improvements, and you can download it from the MSI firmware page. In other news, Phil Spencer commented on handheld Xbox ideas, so we might see it someday.
