connectivity issues in Grounded after update 1.4

The latest version, Grounded’s Fully Yoked update 1.4, has been triggering connectivity issues for many on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo. The game was released on the latter two in April’24 after Microsoft brought Xbox exclusives to other consoles.

Major bugs in the latest game version, as stated on Obsidian’s Community Issue Tracker, are:

1. Players are receiving an Account Provision error when they try to login to the game or enable Cross Play.
2. Game crashes on Xbox One console after wandering near big structures in a large world.
3. Some players are unable to join a MP game.
4. Game does not let the player to log into the Xbox Live account after running the game as administrator.
5. Players are reporting crashes when hosting a MP save. They are able to load into single player.

A post from the game’s official X (previously Twitter) handle confirms that the developers are aware of the connectivity issues and are working on a fix.

As per the last available update on 17 April 2024, the connectivity issues on PC and PlayStation 4 have been fixed, and a patch will soon be developed for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

We can confirm that the Steam version works fine after installing the latest patch for Grounded. As for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, you will have to wait for a while to get rid of the connectivity issues. Just keep checking for an update, and once it’s available, proceed with the installation.
