The Xbox app got a new update that adds voice chat, and other new features for Android and iOS users. As noted in a post on WIndowsBlogItalia, here’s a look at the new features included in the update.

  • You can now upload images from your phone into messages! Press the “+” button in a chat to send photos from your gallery or camera.
  • We have added voice channel support to conversations. Tap the headset icon when in a chat to get started.

On Android and iOS, OneGuide is disabled while the Xbox team works on improving OneGuide for mobile users. OneGuide will come back in a future update. The Xbox app is gaining more helpful features for mobile users in each update. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft plans to bring the ability to play Xbox games on Android and iOS. We’ll have to wait and see if Microsoft will release Xbox games to mobile users.
