Lenovo recently announced two Windows 10 laptop models that have 2-in-1 convertible and detachable functions. The innovative laptops are called the Yoga 920 and Lenovo Miix 520. The renowned electronics provider also made known the arrival of the Lenovo Explorer which is an immersive headset specifically designed for Windows Mixed Reality. Yoga 920 2-in-1 Convertible laptop
These compatible laptops are ultra thin and light. The frame is only 0.55 in or 13.95 mm thick, and weighs just 3.02 lbs or 1.37 kg. Light and extremely portable, the Yoga 920 is also durable. The case is completely made out of metal and comes in three colors: bronze, copper, and platinum.
Cortana, a personal digital assistant, is built into the system. Cortana helps users get things done faster and more efficiently. Furthermore, the Lenovo convertible laptop is designed to recognize and receive voice commands from as far as 4 meters away.
The Yoga 920 also comes with the Lenovo Active Pen 2. This highly precise pen can be used with Windows Ink to add notes on maps, draw in photo editing apps, highlight, markup, and edit Microsoft Edge pages. Furthermore, there is a shortcut on the smart pen that allows you to check your email. This is ideal for creatives who need quick access to their emails while working on a project.
Furthermore, the watchband hinge featured on the Yoga 920 gives users increased flexibility. There are several modes this feature offers that can be utilized in a number of ways. For instance, Yoga 920 users can choose to type in the normal laptop mode, give a presentation in the stand mode, watch videos in the tent mode, and comfortably browse in the tablet mode.
There are other major features of the Yoga 920, which are a 4k 9-inch touch screen, Intel Core i7 processor, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and fingerprint reader. The Lenovo Miix 520 detachable laptop
This detachable laptop is specifically designed for functionality. The Miix 520 also features the watchband hinge, which allows the user to use the laptop as a tablet. Thet Lenovo Active Pen 2 comes with this laptop also.
Other features include a 1 TB SSD, intel Core i7, 16 GB of DDR 4 memory, fingerprint reader, and more. The laptop is 15.9 mm thin and 1.26 kg heavy. The price of this model will be $999.
The Lenovo Explorer
A natural extension of any PC running Windows 10, the Lenovo Explorer provides the user with a wide range of features. You can easily access apps, play mixed reality games, watch 360 degree videos, explore holo-tours, and much more.
An unique feature about the headset is that it does not require any complementary motion sensors. You can walk around naturally in a 3.5 by 3.5 meter area.
Purchasing the Lenovo Explorer with its motion controllers will cost users $449 USD while buying the headset only will cost $349 USD.
