Microsoft has announced the acquisition of cloud monitoring startup MetricsHub, which helps consumers manage their cloud services as well as automates cloud performance management. MetricsHub is now available in the Windows Azure Store.

“I am excited to announce that we are welcoming cloud monitoring startup MetricsHub – a participant in the Microsoft Accelerator, powered by TechStars – to Windows Azure. As an innovator in Active Cloud Monitoring, a technology that automates cloud performance management, MetricsHub helps customers more efficiently manage their cloud services at a lower cost,” Microsoft’s Bob Kelly stated in an official blog post. For those that don’t know, Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure, which takes place in India, is a four month program that is designed to help tech start-ups make it big when it comes to the Cloud, Internet, and Mobile. Microsoft provides a state-of-the-art work space, elite mentors from the industry, and necessary tools for these start-ups. MetricsHub requires little effort on the part of customers and allows for customers to only pay for what they need and maximize services they use.
