Windows Studio Effects

In a surprising move, Microsoft released the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3276 (KB5034857) to the Beta Channel on Monday, at the beginning of the week, introducing several new changes, and improvements, with no new documented features.

However, some undocumented features were released with the build, but they are hidden, and insiders can only uncover them using a third-party app such as ViveTool. Windows insider @PhantomOfEarth, discovered the new Windows Studio Effects button this way, and Microsoft decided to place it in Windows 11’s taskbar.

The Windows Studio Effects button comes with a brand new icon, which you can see below, and if you hover over it the following text will be displayed:Windows Studio Effects

Enhance your video experience using Studio Effects.

The button can be uncovered by using the following command (credits to @PhantomOfEarth) in the ViveTool platform (and if you don’t know how to use the ViveTool app, we have this comprehensive guide that will show you step-by-step how to do it).

vivetool /enable /id:46107637

It’s safe to assume that the new button will enable users to control video setting options and customize the way they will be watching videos on Windows 11 devices. While the icon looks quite elegant, clicking on it might open up a new menu, allowing users to have access to all sorts of settings.

What do you think about it?
