Thanks to the new Data Storage and Data Science workloads becoming generally available for Visual Studio 2017 RC, the Visual Studio Engineering team has announced that Azure Notebooks are now able to support the F# language.
For those that may not know, Azure Notebooks is a free web application hat lets the user create and share documents with live code, equations, visualizations, and explanatory text. Needless to say, it is ideal for instructors and students in fields of machine learning and data transformation.
Previously, users could write in R, Python 2, and Python 3 coding but now they can add F# to the growing list of over forty available languages. The preview is live on Azure Notebooks and anyone can use the service. If you’d like to try it out, head on over to Jupyter and log in with your Microsoft account.
