Microsoft announces availability of Azure Websites in Southeast Asia

Azure Websites is now available in four different Asian regions – East Asia, Japan West, Japan East and Southeast Asia – Microsoft revealed in an official blog post. Azure customers will now have the option to create their websites in the new region.

“Since reaching General Availability last year, Azure Web Sites has been expanding to additional regions. It is our pleasure to announce the general availability of Southeast Asia Region for Azure Web Sites,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

Windows Azure (now known as Microsoft Azure), for those that did not know, is Microsoft’s cloud platform that enables you to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. You can build your applications using any language, tool or framework and integrate them with your existing IT environment.
