windows 10 blocked Huawei

Google has now blocked access to Android updates for Huawei devices following Trump blacklisting.

Microsoft will have to do the same with Huawei laptops and tablets running Windows 10.

However, many Huawei laptop users are still optimistic. For example, one user said that you can always manually download and install the latest updates, although this is not the most desired method.

Others think that this is not an issue for the current Huawei computers but for new ones:

What does it have to do with updates? Windows updates come direct from Microsoft, with no action from Huawei whatsoever. Once the computer is sold Huawei has nothing to do with it. This is not like Android. The issue will be future computers.

Some users are not convinced Microsoft will find a way to avoid joining the ban:

MS will be forced to block updates to Huawei devices. And yes they can do it. They often do this when an update has compatibility issues.

This user also added that the current political context will force Microsoft to take a similar measure, invoking the compatibility issues that could come with the new updates.

After all, let us not forget that other major companies such as Intel and Qualcomm already joined the ban.

In any case, withdrawing Windows 10 support for Huawei will affect many users. It remains to be seen when the Redmond tech giant will take this measure.

Taking into account the latest changes, it seem this is not a question of IF, but WHEN.

Do you think Microsoft will soon block updates for Huawei devices? What’s your take on this? Let us know in the comments below.
