edge 132.0.2931.1

Microsoft Edge Insider Dev Channel recently received the 132.0.2931.1 update. This update includes a range of new features and improvements, along with fixes for several issues.

The update introduces a new avatar entry in the overflow menu on iOS, a profile settings page with a quick sign-in button in WebUI2, and a new tab for Cached Data in Workspaces.

The update fixes an issue where Game Assist crashes when switching to a tab from another application. It also resolves a problem where the browser crashes after right-clicking the ‘Quit app’ option in the site icon. Furthermore, the update addresses an issue where clicking the overflow menu button in InPrivate mode causes the browser to crash on iOS.

The height of the Favorites hub popup now matches that of the History popup, addressing an inconsistency. A red dot that appeared on the Share button on the privacy page has been removed, and the window caption controls are no longer misaligned when horizontal tabs are hidden in the tab center.

The update also fixes an issue where, in ‘Internet Explorer mode,’ split screen web content overlapped with the search flyout. Additionally, the browser now correctly displays the tab icon after a URL change for specific webpages that failed to do so despite having ‘favicon URL’ in their tab groups.

On iOS, the address bar’s contents are now centered, and switching between horizontal and vertical modes on the zip screen no longer causes the wallpaper to flash. The feedback button is no longer hidden in Safe Mode on iOS.

In Android, the reading icon no longer appears while scrolling down the page, even after the reader button is turned off. The Forward and Backward buttons now display correctly on the New Tab Page (NTP). The browser no longer remains in InPrivate mode when put in the background, but it continues to use InPrivate mode for voice searches on Android.
