Microsoft Germany hires new head of Windows and devices, makes more personnel moves

Microsoft Germany has announced today some new corporate changes. Robin Wittland, currently Head of Microsoft Business for Wortmann AG, will become the new head of the Windows and Devices division starting January 1, 2017. He will succeed to Oliver Gürtler who took over the management of the subsidiary’s business and enterprise cloud unit since September 1, 2016.

According to the press release, Wittland will be responsible for the management of the subsidiary’s distribution channels, the expansion of its partner business as well as the promotion of the Windows brand to local consumers. In addition Wittland’s nomination, there are also other personnel changes in the Windows and Devices division:

  • Markus Nitschke, previously head of the Windows for Consumers division has become head of the Windows division (including business customers).
  • Andre Hansel has become new Senior Product Manager for Surface since March 1, 2016 and is now responsible for marketing the 2-in-1s to to corporate customers.
  • Milad Aslaner has become the new Senior Product Manager for Windows Commercial and Security since June 1, 2016.

According to the company, these changes are being made to consolidate the Windows and Devices division in the subsidiary which currently employs approximately 2,700 employees across six regional offices.
