The Xbox One X launched last November in select markets across the world, but India was not included in the launch party. Noted by Digit, it turns out that Microsoft may have recently caused some false excitement and confusion in India, as the company briefly listed the Xbox One X launch on January 15th and then took the page down.

This page briefly had the Xbox One X at the price of Rs 44,990 (about $710 US), but it’s since gone offline. Microsoft also tells Digit that there is “nothing to share” at the moment in regards to the Xbox One X coming to India. The company instead recently put up the Xbox One S for sale in India at, which originally launched in the US back in 2016.

It’s still not certain if Microsoft will ever bring the Xbox One X to India, but some Indian gamers seemed angry at the high price noted on the since removed page. This, though, is not the first time that an Xbox related page has been pulled in a foreign country. As you may recall, Xbox Poland revealed keyboard, mouse support is coming for Xbox One consoles soon, but then pulled the page.
