As an effort to inform and assist developers as they transition to the Universal Windows Platform, The Windows App Team will start releasing a series of blogs called the Windows Dev Center Tips. The series will focus on helping developers become more aware of the options available during the app publishing process starting with options that have just been announced at Build 2016 earlier this year.

The options to be covered include:

  • Publish or update a public app
  • Package flighting
  • Publishing hidden apps
  • Side-loading and enterprise distribution
  • Third party and legacy distribution options
  • Notes about confidentiality and purchasing

The Windows blog created a decision tree to outline the decisions that publisher’s options and highlight topics that will be covered in the upcoming blog series.
