If you need another reason to convince you that Microsoft Edge might be the best browser around, we’re happy to give you good news: the Redmond-based tech giant has started migrating the Edge’s UI to WebUI 2.0, which will make the browser 40% faster than before.
WebUI 2.0 is Microsoft’s markup-first architecture, which minimizes the size of the code bundles and the amount of JavaScript code that runs during the UI’s initialization.
This automatically means faster responding times, and many of the browser’s most used sections, such as Downloads, Drop, History, and the inPrivate experience, are impacted.
In a blog post, Microsoft displayed the new feature using the Downloads section, which now opens up faster.
The Redmond-based tech giant says more such enhancements are coming to Edge in the following months, possibly making it even faster.
Maybe this is your sign for downloading Microsoft Edge. After all, our editors deemed it better than Chrome.
