Microsoft Movie Moments if a free Windows app that allows you to turn your videos into short movies you’ll love to share.

Windows Live Movie Maker, discontinued

Microsoft’s Live Movie Maker was once the highly popular video editing tool, but it’s no longer available for download. Microsoft discontinued it alongside Windows Live Mail along with other programs that were part of Windows Live Essentials.

Rumors point to Microsoft currently working on a modern version of Live Movie Maker for Windows, but we don’t yet have an official statement on this. Of course, you can always go for third-party video editing software, too.

Movie Moments app

Movie Moments won’t be an alternative for the discontinued Live Movie Maker nor a replacement. Long story short, it won’t offer all the features and options that Windows Live Movie Maker once did.

On the other hand, Movie Moments allows users to add captions and music to their videos and share it with others. The app practically allows you to capture or to pick a video, trim it, pick the best moment in it, add captions and effects, and then share it with whomever you want to via Facebook, Twitter, Mail, and so on.

You’ll also be able to add background music to the video file. You can then use the preview option to check out how the edited video looks before sharing it.

Even if Movie Moments app is not exactly a replacement for Live Movie Maker, it will allow you to quickly add captions to your videos and to share them. This app will turn out quite useful if you’re a fan of video sharing!

Overall, the Movie Moments app is a greatMicrosoft program, and you can get it from the Windows Store.
