Microsoft Visual Stats

Microsoft has rolled out a new website called “Microsoft by the Numbers” which offers visitors a unique way of showcasing all of the company’s product and service stats in one visually appealing manner. In fact, the website is designed as a large Start screen.

On the website, which you can check out by clicking the source link below, products and services are listed in a live tile format. We learn that Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system has sold 100 million licenses, which could be an old statistic by now. We also learn that Bing holds 17.86% of the U.S. search market share and that the Windows Store has seen 250 million app downloads from users.

It does appear that some of these stats are old and need to be refreshed. Microsoft is also apparently using data from other sources, such as Netmarketshare, to brag statistically about a product or service.

At the bottom of the website, there is a link to download all the stats in PDF format. This offers readers a two-paged PDF file that outlines all of the stats. If you are interested in checking out the new “Microsoft by the Numbers” visual stats website, hit the source link below.
