Microsoft has finally made its Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app templates available for Adobe Photoshop. Previously, the templates were only available for Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft PowerPoint.
The templates contain UWP elements such as common controls, fonts, patterns theme colors, and type styles. Users can simply copy elements from the templates into their own Photoshop files. There’s also a template made up of nine screen sizes that enable for creating mockups to show the user how his app will scale on different screen sizes from 4-inch phones to 27-inch desktops. The templates also help the user to quickly create polished apps and visualize what the UI of the app will look like when the app is finished.
If you’re interested, you can download the templates here. Microsoft encourages you to share your feedback with them at their Windows platform developer User Voice, but we’d also like to hear what your thoughts are about the Photoshop templates in the comment section below!
