Microsoft reportedly acquires German To-Do List Startup 6Wunderkinder

Last month, a report from a German publication revealed that Microsoft was in talks with the German startup 6Wunderkinder, the company behind the popular to-do list app Wunderlist. According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, citing a person familiar with the deal, Microsoft has reportedly acquired the company for between $100 to $200 million. 

Wunderlist is one of the best task management apps with dedicated apps for major mobile platforms, as well as Windows. In the past few months, Microsoft has acquired a number of start ups, including the simplistic email client Acompli which is now integrated into Microsoft’s Outlook app, as well as Sunrise Atelier, Inc., a New York-based startup behind the popular Sunrise mobile calendar application.

Furthermore, the report continues to mention that 6Wunderkinder will continue to operate through their Berlin offices, and report to Microsoft’s office in Redmond. 

There’s no official word from Microsoft about the acquisition, but it’s likely that we may get to hear about it in the coming days. We’ll update you as soon as the software giant officially announces the acquisition. It will be interesting to see what the Redmond-based company has planned for the company, if the news turns out to be correct.
