Microsoft unveils Gears of War annd Shoot Many Robots to be free in December

With its Xbox One now firmly in the market, Microsoft can resume business as usual, and that means getting games to its current and potential customers. The Xbox Live service likes to throw out freebies each month, and December will be no different. Today Larry Hryb announces the two titles that will be available in December.

For the big holiday month, Hryb, who is better known by his handle ‘Major Nelson’, is announcing that both Gears of War and Shoot Many Robots will be the December offerings. The two games will occupy the first and second halves of the month.

“Starting Sunday (December 1st)  Gears of War (Normally US $19.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through December 15th .Then on December 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Shoot Many Robots (Normally US $9.99) for free.”

It’s a great deal for new Xbox customers, of which there are now more than one million – well, OK, some may be 360 owners who have made the upgrade.  Regardless of the category you fall into, the free games are still just as good. This is a primary means for Microsoft drawing in new customers.
