Microsoft set to hold a press conference on September 4th at IFA 2015 in Berlin

IFA is a leading technology trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, held every year in Berlin, Germany in September. This year, the event is set to take place between September 4th and September 9th, with many key players expected to take the stage to announce their new products. Microsoft was missing in the past few shows, holding separate events for product launches, but it seems the company won’t miss it this year.

Microsoft announced its press conference at IFA 2015 (via Windows Central) will take place on September 4th at the CityCube event hall on the Messe Berlin fairgrounds in Berlin, Germany. Nick Parker, corporate vice president, OEM Division, Microsoft, will deliver a keynote titled “Windows 10 Lights up New Devices” which will focus on several upcoming Windows 10 products, including tablets, gaming devices, 2-in-1 PCS, and more.

“It’s about the software and the experiences it enables on devices!” said Jens Heithecker, IFA Executive Director. “Windows 10 is coming – with new capabilities and experiences for consumers and businesses. “We are excited to see Microsoft take the keynote stage at IFA to give us a glimpse at how its partners plan to incorporate that future into the devices we rely on for work, home and play.”

Before you get too excited, Nick Parker doesn’t deal with phones so it’s unlikely that the keynote will be focused about Windows 10 Mobile handsets. But, we’ll definitely see new Windows 10 machines and PCs at the big event in Berlin. As for Windows 10 Mobile handsets, it’s also expected to launch in September/October so there’s a possibility that Microsoft may hold a separate event, focusing solely on Windows 10 Mobile and devices.

Nick Parker also took the main stage at the Computex 2015 in Taiwan last month, and launched a number of new Windows 10 devices. Anyway, we’ll bring all the latest happenings from the show floor on September 4th so make sure to mark your calendars if you don’t want to miss anything related to Windows 10.
