Microsoft is showcasing the Surface Book 2 and Surface Precision Mouse in a pair of new videos on YouTube. The Surface Book 2 video shows a scientist using the Surface Book 2 to visualize and design a robot, while touting the up to 17 hours of battery life and powerhouse performance of the Surface device.

Coming in at just under 30 seconds, the Surface Book 2 ad is rather underwhelming, compared to the 2017 Surface Pro video. After watching the 2017 Surface Pro video, I bought one almost immediately. Seeing the Surface Book 2 in action is great, but I think consumers would be more attracted to an ad showing off Surface Book 2 technical specs and snappier music, but that is just my opinion.

The Surface Precision Mouse video is more seductive. Set to classical music, Microsoft shows you the inner workings of the Surface Precision Mouse and what you can do with it.

Smooth scrolling, detent scrolling, 4 customizable buttons, and you can use the Surface Precision Mouse with up to 3 devices simultaneously? I’m sold. There is also a new Surface Pro video available showing Leann Emmert, who is in charge of scouting locations for Pacific Rim: Uprising (in theatres in March 2018).

The Surface Book 2 and Surface Precision Mouse are both available through the Microsoft Store.
