Microsoft just announced the release of the brand-new Live Chat feature for Teams, which is available to commercial customers starting today. The new capability will allow businesses to embed a Teams chat directly on their website so that customers can communicate with them from there.

The Redmond-based tech giant says the new capability should reduce response times and even lead to higher conversion rates and more customers.

With live chat, you can support one-to-one chat with your customers right from your business website—directly from Teams. This reduces response times and moves prospective customers further along the sales journey, leading to higher conversion rates and improved customer satisfaction.

Below, you can watch how this feature works. Microsoft says commercial customers can add the new Live Chat widget in Teams directly to their website starting today.

Along with the new Live Chat, Microsoft Teams now allows businesses to employ the Queues app to take and manage customer calls more easily. The Redmond-based tech giant teased the platform a while ago.

You can read more about the new capabilities coming to Teams on the official blog post.
