Microsoft wants to know Windows 10 users’ thoughts on bringing Feedback Hub to the web

Feedback Hub is Microsoft’s way of collating user feedback from users of Windows 10. The app not only gives users an avenue to express concern, report bugs, and make suggestions, but it also acts as a useful tool that provides the right diagnostic information at the right time, which is usually necessary for debugging a reported issue. As it’s baked into the OS through an app, obtaining this diagnostic information per report is extremely useful for Microsoft.

However, a Microsoft software engineer on the Feedback Hub team recently took to Twitter to respond to some users’ requests to bring the Feedback Hub to the web, so that it can be accessed in a web browser or while not at your Windows 10 PC.

As noted, Devin on the Feedback Hub team isn’t saying Microsoft will bring it to the web, but that it is listening to requests to make it happen and would like to know why people feel they need the ability to access it from the web.

Having the Feedback Hub on the web would bring some potential benefits to users. If you weren’t at your PC and suddenly thought of the next cool idea, it would be a case of opening your favourite web browser and posting the idea. It would also make it easier to get involved in comments, being able to respond on-the-go, as well as upvoting things while you’re out and about. The only obvious drawback being that, when it comes specifically to bug reports, Microsoft wouldn’t necessarily be able to obtain the diagnostic data for that report.
