Surface Pro

According to Digitimes, Microsoft is only planning on having an initial shipment volume of one million Surface Pro units. This is obviously less than what Microsoft planning with the Surface RT, which had an initial shipment volume of four million units.

“Microsoft’s Windows 8 Pro-based Surface tablet, which is set to release on February 9, will only have an initial shipment volume of one million units, far lower than the four million shipments of the company’s Surface RT tablet when launched, according to sources from the upstream supply chain,” the report stated. If this report is true, is Microsoft not expecting a high demand for the Surface Pro? Or will the Surface Pro be sold out in a matter of hours during its launch on February 9th?

Pricing will start at $899 and will be available in 64GB and 128GB versions. Also, a Surface Pen will be included with the Surface Pro, which allows you to draw with your device! You can read a list of full specs for the device here.
