Intel Core Ultra 5 234V spotted in the wild

Everybody is waiting for the new Lunar Lake CPUs from Intel because they will power the next laptops such as the Galaxy Book5 Pro that was recently spotted in the SiSoft Sandra database.

Now, we have some new information about a Lunar Lake Intel CPU that was leaked by a user on X, according to Tech Radar.

The information comes from 01.org, Team Blue’s Open Source Technology Center. The Lunar Lake CPU is called Intel Core Ultra 5 234V and it comes with 8 cores and 8 threads per package.

Although the name touts it as a 2.1 GHz processor, the boot sequence from the source writes that the system detected a 3100 MHz (3.1 GHz) CPU. However, the chip is still in development so that might change at any moment.

Allegedly, the Intel Core Ultra 5 234V is part of the Core Ultra 200 CPUs, where Ultra is the top tier tech from Intel. We remind you that Intel also has the Raptor Lake Refresh H CPUs which will be part of the lower tier from the Core 200 class.

The new Core 200 and Core Ultra 200 will replace the Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh chips.

We can’t wait to see what will be the performance of the laptops boosting the new Intel CPUs but we hopefully won’t have to wait that long.
