The new app icon for the Windows 10 Microsoft Store app was revealed last month to Insiders and now it’s finally begun to roll out to the general public via a free app update today.

The new app icon (see above image) is very similar to the previous one but features a foldable design on the bag handle and a new horizontal line that create the illusion of a paper bag as opposed to the previous bag of ambiguous origins.

The Microsoft Store app should update automatically in the background but you can also force the update by opening the app, clicking the ellipsis in the top-right corner, selecting Downloads & Updates, and clicking Check updates.

In addition to the new icon, the new Microsoft Store app also appears to be significantly faster than before with much less loading. There’s also a minor, but admittedly cool, line animation within the top menu when switching between categories.
