The Skype team today announced that they are partnering with a social bookmarking service AddThis to enable the Skype Share button on 15 million new websites. Since the web is full of great content, videos, facts, and stories, this ultimately means that you can share more of the web with the people in your life.

According to the Skype team, when you see something that’s interesting on the web, all you need to do is click on the share button, and a window will come up on the page for you to sign in to Skype. You can then add an optional message along with the link, and pick which Skype friends you would like to share with, and then press “Send.”

Back in 2015, Microsoft introduced a Skype Share button, which was initially available on MSN.com as well as sify.com in India.  At the time the button enabled customers to share content found on the web directly into a Skype chat with just the click of a button. The new partnership enhanced these sharing capabilities.
