Notepad has been an integral part of Windows for decades, and it was left unchanged until Windows 11 came.

We saw an array of new features being added to Notepad, and it seems that the most known text editor will get a spell-check feature in the future.

Microsoft is currently testing a spell-check feature for Notepad in Windows 11

Notepad recently got Copilot support with the Explain with Copilot feature,  but Microsoft has additional features planned for it, according to the XDA Developers.

This feature was first discovered by PhantomOcean3 on X, and we can see the new Spelling section in the Notepad settings.

Users will have the option to use spell check along with the autocorrect feature, so they won’t have to worry too much about spelling.

The spell check settings can be expanded and you can choose the file types that you want to use spell check for.

This feature is available in Notepad 11.2402.18.0, but currently, there’s no information regarding its release date.
