In a strategic move, OpenAI, the leading AI firm, announced the rollout of a new version of its popular AI program, ChatGPT, designed for large enterprises on Monday. The latest product, dubbed ChatGPT Enterprise, blurs the lines further between the offerings of OpenAI and its financial ally, Microsoft.

The new variant is intended to serve businesses, with enhanced features focusing on security, privacy, and high-speed access to the advanced OpenAI tech. Block, Carlyle, and Estée Lauder are some of the first companies to benefit from the service.

We’re launching ChatGPT Enterprise, which offers enterprise-grade security and privacy, unlimited higher-speed GPT-4 access, longer context windows for processing longer inputs, advanced data analysis capabilities, customization options, and much more, the company said in a blog post.

Growth and Projection

OpenAI initially launched the consumer-oriented version of ChatGPT last November. The AI, capable of performing tasks varying from writing to coding, stirred up significant interest among users, leading to a staggering count of 100 million active users a month by January.

Recent reports, however, indicate a downward trend in ChatGPT’s traffic. Consequently, the introduction of a new variant could potentially be OpenAI’s strategic response to regain its popularity.

Expanding Offerings

ChatGPT Enterprise subscribers are not required to subscribe to Azure, OpenAI clarified, thereby creating a possible competitive rift between OpenAI and Microsoft.

Among the newly-introduced features, firms can look forward to unlimited GPT-4 access through ChatGPT Enterprise. Currently, Plus subscribers face a cap limiting the GPT-4 conversation frequency. OpenAI has resolved this with ChatGPT Enterprise, letting businesses use the chatbot limitlessly.

It’s worth noting that the newest edition of ChatGPT Enterprise offers a faster performance, with a speed that’s twice as fast as before. Moreover, the capacity limit has also been increased, which means that users can now input lengthy data for responses.

If your company is interested in utilizing the Advanced Data Analysis tool or ChatGPT Code Interpreter, you’ll be pleased to know you have unrestricted access to these features.

Emphasis on Security

Security remains the prime concern while dealing with advanced AI, and OpenAI addresses this by employing enterprise-grade security in ChatGPT. The new enterprise version guarantees to encrypt all conversations while moving and being stored. OpenAI reassures users that their AI does not train on business data or conversations.
