OpenAI has achieved massive success with ChatGPT and revolutionized the industry by bringing AI to everyday users.

The company is using its technology in all sorts of products, and it seems that OpenAI is ready to announce its AI-powered search engine.

OpenAI will announce its search engine early next week

Not that long ago, we wrote how OpenAI’s ChatGPT is ready for launch, and now we have an official announcement date.

According to Reuters, Microsoft has backed OpenAI in developing a search engine that could potentially compete with Google, as well as Perplexity, another AI search startup.

The search engine will be an extension of ChatGPT allowing it to pull direct information from the web and include citations.

Despite the usefulness of ChatGPT, it still struggles with accurate and real-time information from the web. To address that, OpenAI has an integration with Microsoft Bing, but only for paid customers.

Meanwhile, Google has also announced AI features for its search engine, and we expect to learn more about them next week on Tuesday during Google’s annual I/O conference.

OpenAI plans to announce its search engine on Monday if everything goes to plan. In other news, the new OpenAI and Stack Overflow partnership will help developers by providing more accurate coding answers.
