Over the past couple of months, Microsoft has been busy working on a redesigned version of its Outlook.com webmail, now available in beta. After revamping the Mail and Calendar sections and bringing back the Skype integration, it’s now time for the People section to receive some love.
The redesigned address book now uses the same design language as the other sections of the web app. The contact cards are also more useful, and you can quickly check all recent interactions you had with a specific contact, included shared files. Moreover, it’s still possible to create contact lists or add select contacts to your favorites.
There is a lot to like about Outlook.com beta, and we would love to see it become a full-fledged Progressive Web App with Windows 10 version 1803. For Outlook.com users, it already works pretty much like a lightweight version of the Outlook desktop app, with the Skype integration as a bonus. We’ll see what happens in the coming months, but in the mean time you can still give your feedback and help Microsoft prioritize new features by visiting the Outlook Feedback website.
