palworld fps below 60

Palworld was released on January 19, 2024, and has since been a topic of controversy. Besides its close resemblance to Pokemon, the game has performance issues, including a black screen on launch and low FPS.

The FPS problem is commonly seen on Xbox, with Series S performing slightly better than Series X, in our tests. The forums are filled with such reports, with many complaining of getting, at the maximum, 30 FPS, even when they remove the FPS cap by choosing No Limit in the settings.

The Early Access of Palworld isn’t yet polished

If you haven’t set the Max FPS to 30 in the game’s settings, the only plausible reason why you cannot play Palworld at 60 FPS is the in-game bugs.

If history tells us anything, the early releases of games usually have performance issues, and these are fixed in later patches. Take the case of Project Zomboid, which, too, had such bugs in the initial releases, but the later versions ran just fine.

Settings Max FPS to No Limit on Palworld

Until now, Palworld has released a few patches, and the last two, v0.1.4.0 and v0.1.1.3, have significantly enhanced the experience.

Based on the few hours we spent playing Palworld, some of the aspects that need improvements are sound quality, FPS (Frame Rate per Second), network connectivity, and a fix for the incessant crashes. Besides that, the game runs perfectly fine and is captivating!

Also, Palworld supports crossplay, meaning you can play together on Xbox and PC.

As per the information provided on Palworld’s official Steam page, the Early Access is expected to last at least a year. So, for now, all you can do is send honest feedback to the developers, highlighting all the issues, and wait for these to be addressed in the later patches.
