Parallels, the Bellevue-based company behind Parallels Desktop for Mac is launching a new version of its Parallels Toolbox suite of productivity tools for Windows and Mac today. “The new suite of easy-to-use tools simplifies tedious everyday computing chores down to just a click or two,” the company explained, and there is indeed a lot to like about the collection of 30+ tools available in an all-in-one app.

For Windows users, one of the most important additions in Parallels Toolbox 1.5 is the new Presentation mode, which was already available in the Mac version of the software. When you turn it on, Presentation mode will hide all files on your desktop, block all notifications, prevent sleep mode and automatically optimize display settings.

Also new in Parallels Toolbox 1.5 are Clean Drive, a tool that can help you reclaim disk space on your PC, as well as a Switch Resolution which can optimize display settings to makes text and images look easier on the eyes. Many existing Parallels Toolbox tools for recording audio or videos from your screen, downloading videos from YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and more have also been updated in this new release.

For Mac users, Parallels Toolbox 2.5 for Mac comes with enhancements to existing features plus three new tools for batch image conversion, reclaiming RAM memory and taking screenshots of webpages. The company is also launching today Parallels Toolbox Business Edition, which will make it easier for IT admins to manage licenses and customize the tool library for employees.

Parallels Toolbox 1.5 for Windows and Parallels Toolbox 2.5 for Mac are both available as a $19.99 yearly subscription, which will give you access to free updates and enhancements several times a year. You can download a free 7-days trial from Parallels’ website and see for yourself is the collection of time-saving tools can help you be more productive.
