Skype has announced today that it’s partnering with Indian ICT Solutions and Services company Sify.com, making it easier for Skype users in the country to pay for Skype Credit and subscriptions. Until now, Skype users in the country were only able to buy Skype credit or subscriptions with International credit cards but starting today Sify.com will enable Indian debit, credit cards and NetBanking to be used for these purchases. The Skype team shared a walkthrough of the process below:
- Go to Skype.com/rates
- Select the subscription or the amount of Skype Credit you’d like to buy
- On the checkout page, enter your Indian billing address and you’ll be able to pay using your local credit, debit card or NetBanking
Judd Harcombe, Head of Emerging Market Business Development at Skype shared today on Sify.com:
“Together with Sify, we are making it easier for Skype users in India to purchase Skype credit and subscriptions. India is a key market for Skype and we want to help our users in India connect with friends and family abroad.”
