Popcap’s sequel to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, has finally been given a release date, February 23, 2016. The game was first seen at E3 this past summer and will be playable on both Xbox One and Windows PC.


Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 features the same gameplay mechanics as before, but players can expect a few new features:

  • Go on the offensive and reclaim Sububria from the zombies, or fight to protect Zomburbia from the plants.
  • 14 playable classes for players to choose from with more than 100 playable plants and zombies.
  • Battle in 24-player online matches or have 3 of your friends join you in the fight against zombies and plants.
  • 12 immersive maps in Suburbia to defend.

In addition to the Standard Edition, there will also be a Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Deluxe Edition that will include exclusive customization options for any plant and zombie class character, a mystery character variant pack, and instant access to in-game coins to acquire weapons and accessories.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, both the Standard and Deluxe Edition, are available to pre-order now from the Xbox Store.
