Microsoft announced on the Power BI blog a new page view option for Paginated Reports in the Power BI service. With the new page view option, the paginated reports look more like a page when you view them in a browser.
Of course, you still have the option to change parameters, click on links in the reports, and so on.
How can I use the new page view option in Power BI?
- Click on the new View menu from your toolbar when you see a paginated report.
- Change from the Default view to the Page View (Preview)
After you change the view, your report will be displayed as a page in a browser. That will trigger opening it using the browser’s PDF rendering capability.
How can I change the layout of the report?
The layout of the report depends on the report size settings that were set by the author. You can change them if you select the Page Settings from the View menu.
You will see a new window where you can set the page size and orientation to your liking.
Page View is supported in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. Make sure that viewing PDFs in the browser is enabled. It’s the default setting for these browsers.
Page View isn’t supported in Internet Explorer and Safari, so the option is disabled. It also isn’t supported in browsers on mobile devices, or in the native Power BI mobile apps.
, adds Microsoft in the Power BI website.
