  • Resident 4 is another title in the pipeline.
  • You can get its demo now, live on Xbox.

Capcom just rolled out a lot of updates during their Capcom Spotlight 2023 press event. One of the most exciting news to arrive is about the hotly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4, which, starting from now, you can play its Chainsaw Demo on Xbox One & X/S, PlayStation 4 & 5, and PC via Steam.

Another good news is that the demo has no limit date, meaning you can play it as many times as you like for free before the full game is out on March 24, 2023. You can still pre-order the game on Xbox Store and PlayStation Store, priced at $60.

Set six years after the fateful night in Racoon City, former rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy is tasked to rescue the US president’s kidnapped daughter in a secluded European village, squirmed by revengeful creatures. In this demo, you will enter the village as Leon and get through the first chapter of the original game.

In the past few years, Capcom has been remaking some of its classic, best-selling horror games from the Resident Evil franchise. Following a return to its horror roots with Resident Evil 7 in 2017 plus RE Engine’s debut, the game publisher returned two years later with a remake of Resident Evil 2 (originally released in 1998) and Resident Evil 3 (1999).

Now, it seems like we’re getting closer to seeing Leon’s game getting the same treatment. We all know how gruelingly awesome the graphics on Resident Evil Village were back in 2021, and with the next-gen technology from Xbox Series X/S, fans are in for a treat.
