Microsoft introduced AI agents in its Copilot 365 Suite a couple of months ago to encourage organizations to use AI more to organize and streamline workflows and infrastructures.
The AI agents were also added to SharePoint, and Microsoft is planning to release an enhancement that will observe them and provide managers with statistics on them.
In other words, every SharePoint site will show statistics on how SharePoint agents are used. This information will be available on the site analytics page for the site owner. It will also show how many times source files are cited.

SharePoint’s new enhancement will be added to the platform in May 2025 and available to all users. Thanks to it, organizations should know how well their SharePoint site is performing and will have a deep insight into the agents’ activity.
