Skype Preview has new AR lenses powered by Snap

Skype Preview was released last week, which brings the version to  8.113.76.207, and the Skype camera got a significant upgrade. Along with the transcription of voice messages and a new reaction picker, it now has 25 new AR lenses powered by Snap, including Mad Scientist and Glossy Smile.

In an official announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter), Skype Insider announced:

Skype’s camera just got a major upgrade with a treasure trove of over 25 new AR lenses powered by Snap! Now, your chats can be as expressive and animated as you are.

  • 🔄 Switch & Snap: Easily flip the camera to center stage and find your best angle.
  • 🤩 Lenses Galore: From ‘Glossy Smile’ to ‘Mad Scientist’, choose from a variety of creative lenses that best match your mood or message.

These AR lenses are available on Skype 8.113.76.207 for Android and iOS platforms. If you are an Android user, you can download the app from the Skype official website. However, iOS users can only access the Skype beta version if they have an invitation from Microsoft.
